Four children were rescued by the police from a man posing as an ascetic dressed in ochre near Bahadurpur village under the jurisdiction of Laksar.

On Friday morning the police nabbed a man posing as an ascetic from near the railway line of Bahadurpur village after the villagers found his activities as suspicious.

He failed to provide a satisfactory answer when questioned about the four children aged eight to 12 years.

Speaking to the Pioneer, Laksar police station in-charge Virendra Singh Negi said, “One of the children recovered is from Bihar while the other three are from Chandigarh. The interrogation is continuing.”
