41-year-old man dies in road mishap near Ganesh Mandir

A 41-year-old man died after he was hit by a garbage collection vehicle near Ganesh Mandir under Gandhi Nagar police station area on Saturday.

The police said that an injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died during treatment. The deceased was identified as Jagannath Solanki of Shanti Nagar and used to work as security guard.

The deceased hailed from Rajgarh. He met accident while he was near Ganesh Mandir and was trying to cross the road on his way to home at Shanti Nagar.

The injured was rushed to hospital where he died during treatment. Police were informed and after the preliminary investigation the body was sent for post mortem.

The police registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC. The details of the errant driver and garbage collection vehicle are under investigation.

In similar incident, a day ago in woman sanitation worker was mowed down after garbage collection vehicle started and moved in backward direction at Sneha Nagar under Misrod police station area on Friday.

The deceased identified as Kalpana Kaamle was collecting garbage and putting it inside garbage collection vehicle during which the vehicle started moving backwards and hit Kalpana. She was rushed to hospital where she died during treatment.

The vehicle was seized by the police in the investigation. The driver was detained.

The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and would investigate that the driver was responsible for the accident or it was technical error.
