In a major breakthrough, Ranchi Police busted a notorious ‘Chaddi-Baniyan’ gang of thieves and arrested five persons of the gang.
Addressing a press meet, Superintendent of Police (SP), Ranchi Rural, Ashutosh Shekhar, on Monday, said that a case of loot was registered on July 19 when the criminals barged into a house by breaking window of the house at Arsande under Kanke Police Station on July 18 night.
“On the instruction of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Anish Gupta a team of Ranchi police personnel was constituted for revelation of the crime.
The Police team raided several places to nab the criminals on the basis of researches of prior cases of loot. During several raids the police team raided at a place situated near Kiul Railway Station in Bihar and arrested five persons,” he added.
The SP said that on the information given by the accused persons the police team recovered instrument by which they result the incidents of loot, stolen money and mobile phones.
Shekhar revealed the name of accused persons including Babloo alias Dhannalal Singh son of late Hari Singh resident of Guna District in Madhya Pradesh, Brajmohan Kade son of Barka Kade resident of Jhansi District in Uttar Pradesh, Rohit Kale son of Sara Kale resident of Jhansi District in Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Alok son of Asok Lal resident of Gangapur District in Maharashtra and Ajay Kade son of Roop Singh resident of Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh.
Kanke Police Station Incharge Vijay Singh said that the gang has performed several cases of loot in various parts of the State Capital since 2017 and the district police was trying to nab them since a long time.
After committing crime they fled to other State because the different gang members were belong to different states and this is the reason the police team getting difficulties to arrest them, he added.
