5 Odia youths die in road mishap in WB

Five youths from Odisha were killed and three others sustained critical injuries in a road accident inDhulagarh near Kolkata of West Bengal on late Tuesday night.

All the victims were said to be residents of Jajpur and Cuttack districts and Kuansa of Bhadrak district.

The two among the deceased were identified as Manoj Mohanty of Cuttack and Digvijay Das of Bhadrak while the identification of the other three was yet to be established.

The three injured youths were admitted to a Dhulagarh hospital.

All of them had gone to attend a wedding ceremony in Howrah and were returning to Odisha by a car when the mishap occurred.

Sources said the driver lost control of the car near the Dhulagarh tollgate, following which it crashed into a stationary truck.
