5-storey with parking facility at Kamla Nagar to address illegal parking menace

In order to meet the increasing demand of parking spaces and to effectively tackle the menace of illegal parking on road side, North Delhi Municipal Corporation

(NMC) has decided to construct a five storey commercial complex with parking facility at Bunglow road, Kamla Nagar.

Standing Committee Chairperson of north Corporation Veena Virmani inspected Kamla Nagar and Rani Bagh areas and directed officials to develop a commercial complex with parking facility after demolishing the old structures at the site.

“The Corporation has 12,640 square metre spaces in the area which would be use to develop a commercial complex with underground parking,” she said.

Virmani also informed that the present 60 feet wide road would also be widened to 80 feet to ease the traffic flow. A public sector undertaking WAPCOS would be engaged as consultant and developer for the purpose, she added.
