A 50-year-old man died after he jumped from a truck in a bid to save himself at Bagroda under Katara Hills late in the night on Monday.
Police said that the deceased identified as Rewati Prasad Mehar was in the truck which was parked near the under construction Eicher factory and accidentally started to roll which alerted him and he jumped off the truck and hit stones which were dumped road side.
The deceased was rushed to Noble hospital where he died during treatment. The deceased sustained head injuries which proved fatal.
Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.
