58th Nat’l Pharmacy Week observed in Royal College

The 58th National Pharmacy Week was successfully observed with the theme: “Pharmacist: Your Medication Counsellor” at the Royal College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences here recently.

Speaking on the theme, college Director Prof PN Murthy explained how pharmacists have been doing amazing works for the society in general and patients in particular. By citing suitable and relevant examples, he said how counselling provided by pharmacists can improve effectiveness of medication.

The director advised the pharmacists to maintain good human ethics and values and develop proper communication skills while counseling the patients.

Principal Prof SK Panda stressed on the vital and crucial role of pharmacists in the medical world. He said the pharmacist community has a big responsibility in ensuring speedy recovery of patients with proper counselling.

Vice-Principal Prof US Mishra, teachers and students expressed their views on the theme.

There was a mass reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India by all staff members and students on the occasion of the Constitution Day. The programme came to an en with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr PK Choudhary.
