Six criminals between the age group of 20 and 22 years were arrested by Manpur police of Mhow tehsil area on the charge of their involvement in snatching the purse and other valuables from the wife of army soldier who was on the way to his home on Manpur Labad highway on August 18.
Addl SP Mhow Dharmaraj Meena told The Pioneer that on the instruction of SP west Indore Awdesh Goswami a team was formed under T I Manpur Umrao Singh sub inspector Mahesh
Chouhan which was deployed on highway patrolling who received the information about the movement of some suspected people on the Labad road who planted iron nails on the road to puncture the four-wheeler’s and to loot the people passing on highway.
Six accused who are arrested are Chouhan alias Sohan Bhabhar, Sanjay Girwal, Lokesh Bhabhar, Tufaan Karma, Suresh Ginava, Vikas Bariya. All the accused are from Bhil community and resident of different villages of Manpur police station area. Pistol, sword, automatic knife, baseball stick, hockey torch chili powder and live cartridges two pulsar bikes were recovered from the possession of accused.
The accused admitted the stealing of pulsar bike and loot from the soldier couple.
