A 63-year-old lady doctor was robbed of her bag carrying valuables worth Rs 60,000 near Smart Parking under TT Nagar police station area in the evening on Friday.
The incident which took place at around 8 pm left the victim Dr Gitika Nigam shocked when she was robbed of her purse while she was searching for keys of her car at Smart Parking.
The victim runs Astha hospital in Nehru Nagar and in the evening she came for shopping along with her niece and parked her car at Smart Parking after completing the shopping the two reached Smart Parking and when was searching for keys two bike borne miscreants over black Bajaj Pulsar attacked her and snatched her purse carrying Rs 12,000 cash, one mobile phone, jewelry and important documents.
Later, the victim lodged a complaint with the TT Nagar police. The sudden attached shocked with the attack victim she raised alarm but the miscreants managed to escape. The police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Based on the details provided by the victim, the police have started search for the miscreants. Police have checked CCTV cameras installed in the area and nearby areas but failed to find the bike borne in the CCTV footages.
The victim and her niece escaped unhurt in the incident. Police suspects that the miscreant was followed by the miscreants and were waiting for the victim to move away from busy market.
