The counting of seven assembly constituencies for Raipur Parliamentary seat will take place at Raipur while two assembly constituencies of the seat, to be held at Baloda Bazar.
Raipur Lok Sabha seat has total nine assembly constituencies. Counting is scheduled to begin at 8 am on May 23.
The counting of assembly constituencies under Raipur district will take place at Government Engineering College, E-Block, Sejbahar. Raipur District Electoral Officer and Returning Officer Dr Basavaraju S reviewed the counting arrangements with all Assistant Returning Officers and other departmental officials.
DEO Dr Basavaraju S stated that votes count would begin at 8.00 in the morning on May 23 and postal ballot papers will be counted first. The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be taken up for counting after 8.30 am.
He added that the counting of assembly constituencies of Dharsiwa, Raipur Rural, Raipur city West, Raipur City North, Raipur City South, Arang and Abhanpur at GEC, Sejbahar. The counting of two remaining, Baloda Bazar and Bhatapara assembly constituency will be held at Baloda Bazar district headquarters.
