73rd Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour in Garhwa district.The main function was held at Govind Inter College field where Garhwa DC Harsh Mangla hoisted the Tricolour. The DC also felicitated freedom fighter's family members by offering shawl.
Speaking on the occasion the DC said that 1 lakh 14 thousand 211 women and children of the district are benefited under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Nutrition Yojna. Rs. 2 crore 45 lakh 50 thousand paid to the, domestic violence, acid attack victims and homeless helplessness peoples. and other reasons. To provide health, legal and police assistance to women and women, Sakhi forest stand at the district headquarters Operation of the center has also been started. Eight types of pension schemes are being operated in Garhwa district under these programme 1,19,311 peoples benefited.
The Dc further said that 42,91,000 man days have been created by spending of Rs . 40,0300000 under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme in the district. For uplift ground water 419 Dobha has been completed . Total 1270 schemes of Trench cum Bund are also being implemented.
Besides others Principal District and Sessions Judge, Garhwa SP, Civil Surgeon, Principal of the SSJSN College, principal SPD college,Branch Managers of different bank and others also unfurled the tricolor at their respective offices.
