The State has 128 cold storages, out of which 80 are defunct and only 48 are operational, Finance
Minister Niranjan Pujari informed the Assembly on Wednesday.
Replying to a question asked by Pipili BJD MLA Pradeep Maharathy, the Minister said that efforts are underway to revive the nonfunctional cold storages.
Pujari said that electricity is being provided to the cold storages at subsidised prices under the Potato Mission.
