8th Vigyan Mela ’19 to start from Sep 13

The eighth Bhopal Vigyan Mela 2019, a science and technology fair, being organised by CSIR-AMPRI, Vigyan Prasar, AICTE & Vigyan Bharti will be held at BHEL Dussehra ground from September 13 to 16.

This four day fair will witness knowledge and fun activities such as display of science and technology models, science quiz, scientific seminars, screening of science films, science drama, debate, student-scientists interaction, skill workshops, award ceremony and cultural programmes.

There will be theme based pavilions wherein public and private sector organizations will showcase local, regional, national and global developments in the field of science and technology.

Director CSIR Bhopal, Avnish Kumar Srivastava told media persons here on Wednesday that the formal inauguration will be done by Governor of Madhya Pradesh Lalji Tondon.

Minister of Science and Technology PC Sharma and Director General CSIR New Delhi Shekhar C Mande will also grace the inauguration ceremony with their presence.

He further stated that more than 100 stall by government and non government departments will be there in the fair.

He also informed that the famous scientist and mission director Mission Shakti, DRDO, Government of India U Rajababu, will also be honoured. Under the leadership of Rajababu, India has developed and achieved the capability to hit the satellite with a missile. India is the fourth country to achieve this capability after USA, Russia and China.

In this press conference Professor Sudhir Singh Bhadauria, Rajiv Gandhi University of Technology said that Bhopal Vigyan Mela based on science and technology is being organised continuously since 2012.

The objective of this fair is to aware and introduce common man about the latest developments in the field of science and technology on Local, regional, national and global level.

In this Vigyan Mela, Well-known institutions of the country continuously shares their significant contribution in development in the field of science and technology.

This is the key reason that why people like this event every year and a large number of people gathers to see the latest innovation from science and new experiments. Apart of common people, researchers, bureaucrats, policy Maker, Science Practitioner, Manufacturer and Social Worker also take part in this event.
