The victim alleged that the police officials had taken her to a room in the police station and removed her clothes and severely assaulted her fragile limbs.

It is alleged that the lower back was hit so badly that the skin had peeled off. The incident came to the fore only after the people of the Northeast community protested against the policemen.

The woman was trashed so badly that she was not even able to walk.

Taking suo motu action in the case, the Commissioner of Police Mohammad Akil, on Wednesday sent the four policemen to the police lines, including the DLF Phase-1, SHO.

They protested against the police officials and urged them to take action against the accused policemen.

After meeting them for about five hours, ACP Sadar, Aman Yadav assured action against the culprits. Later the ACP sent the report to top officials. Later in the evening, Commissioner of Police Mohammad Akil said that negligence was committed by the policemen in the investigation of the theft case.
