Reiterating their demand of removing the Punjab Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu from the Cabinet, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday demanded action against the owners of the Ludhiana’s Grand Manor Homes for taking law in their own hands.
The party accused the owners of the much-hyped multi-crore project for allegedly breaking open the government seal to gain entry into the multi-crore project office.
“Until or unless the Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, the alleged kingpin in the multi-crore scam, is removed from the post, the law would have no impact on the high profile owners enjoying political patronage,” said AAP MLA and the Deputy Leader of Opposition Sarvjit Kaur Manuke.
Manuke said that the Capt Amarinder Singh’s government initiating no action against the ‘tainted’ Minister revealed its intentions of offering a protective cover to him. “Since no action has been taken against Ashu, he has been indulging in browbeating the investigation and performing his ministerial duties as usual which is nothing but mockery of the law,” she added.
