Directives to ensure active participation of  School Management regarding driving of vehicles by school students were given during a meeting of State Road Safety Implementation committee held under the chairmanship of the Principal Secretary Home SN Mishra. Parents would be advised in a parents-teachers meeting that an action as per the rule could be taken.

Mishra gave instructions that nodal officers of road safety should be present essentially in lead agency office on every Wednesday and Friday. He further said that people with outstanding works in road safety would be awarded. Collectors and SPs would be told to take necessary action in connection to road safety. He gave instructions to present a report by examining the reasons of accidents on black spots. Mishra informed that special automobile checking will be restarted from August 01 to 15.

During the meeting, instructions were given to hold a meeting of road safety committee at district level within one month. Moreover, instructions were given to send complete information in the prescribed proforma for suspending licenses, so that immediate action could be taken. Directives were given to send information regarding training of engineers too during the meeting. It was informed that 2343 licenses were suspended from January to March. Furthermore, instructions were given to complete construction work of under construction trauma centres in Chhatarpur and Vidisha. Besides, it was told in the meeting that syllabus books in which a lesson about traffic is included should be made available. Discussions on highway patrolling, road safety audit and ambulance facility etc. also took place in the meeting. The Transport Commissioner Shailendra Shrivastava, Secretary Home Mohd Shahid Absar and Secretary Public Works PC Baraskar were present at the meeting.
