Admin organises candle march to encourage women to vote in polls

District administration Bokaro organised 'Candle March' across the district aiming to make the women voters aware to exercise their franchise in the upcoming Assembly election.

The candle march was organised under the leadership of the Block Development Officer and Zonal Officer of all the blocks of the district to motivate and make women voters to exercise their franchise in the upcoming assembly poll, informed VK Hembram, DPRO Bokaro.

A large number of women present in the march with raising slogans " Pahala matdan phir jalpan" (First voting, then refreshment), " Sashakt Mahila ki Pahchan, jo karti hai matdan" especially to encourage the rural women to vote.

"Our motto behind this march is to make the voters encourage for cent percent polling in all blocks of the district," said Hembram.   Besides a large number of villagers, BDO, district administrative officials were present during the march.
