Ahead of Panchayat polls, PCC president asks in-charges to tour districts and hold meetings

In view of the upcoming panchayat elections, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh has directed all the in-charges of the organisational districts of the party to undertake tours and hold meetings with senior Congress leaders. The PCC president has said that the in- charges should prepare lists of candidates intending to contest these elections and submit them in State party office.

The spokesperson of the State unit of Congress party, Lakhpat Butola said that many rounds of informal meetings of senior Congress leaders have been held on the three-tier Panchayat elections. He said that in the district, in-charges are also holding meetings with party workers to find consensus candidates for these elections.

Butola claimed that the party workers are in high spirits for the Panchayat elections and the party would contest the elections with all its might.
