Ahead of the Assembly elections, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday made a series of announcements to woo the electorate at the last moment.
Addressing a news conference, Khattar launched two schemes named Chief Minister’s Vyapari Nidhi Durghatna Bima Yogana and Chief Minister’s Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana for traders who are paying Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Under the Chief Minister’s Vyapari Nidhi Durghatna Bima Yogana, around four lakh medium class traders would be covered. Under Chief Minister’s Vyapari Kshatipurti Yojana, traders would be paid from Rs 5 lakh to 25 lakh of their damaged goods due to theft, accident, fire and other natural disasters.
Around 3.13 lakh beneficiaries will be covered under the above scheme in the state. Both schemes were launched by clicking on the computer by the Chief Minister.
Khattar said that the farmers having less than two acres of land will covered under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. People belong to all the categories who are having annual income less than Rs 1.80 lakh, will get the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Scheme. About 25 lakh families will be covered in Haryana.
The Bal Gadaria community has been categorised as Scheduled Caste. Due to mistakes by the previous governments it was categorised as Backward Caste.
The salaries of rural-urban sanitation workers have been increased. Now urban sanitation workers would get 15,000 in place of 13, 500. Rural sanitation workers would get 12.500 in place of 11, 000 per month. Rural Chowkidar will be covered under EPF.
Salaries of Anganwadi workers have been increased. Guest Teachers will not be removed till 58 years apart from this, they would get three 3 per cent DA, he added.
