The third meeting of Institute Body (IB) of AIIMS Bhopal was held at the Institute on Thursday. In the meeting, President Prof YK Gupta along with members viz Vivek K Tankha, Member (Rajyasabha), Ramakant Bhargava, Member (Loksabha), Udai Pratap Singh,
Member (Loksabha), Sunil Sharma, Joint Secretary, MoHFW, Shiv Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary, MP Government, Dr GK Rath, Head of DBRAIRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr Sita Naik, Professor (Retd), Dr Maya Chansoria, Professor (Retd) and Dr Shrimant Kumar, DGHS representative were present.
The Members of the Institute Body visited AIIMS Hospital in the morning. During the visit, the IB inaugurated the Digital OPD Registration Counter and the “Sanitary Pad Vending Machine” in IPD of the Hospital under the aegis of Swachhta Pakhwada. Later on, the third IB Meeting was held in the Board Room of Medical College Building. The Member Secretary, Prof Sarman Singh, Director, AIIMS Bhopal submitted a report on various activities and achievements of AIIMS Bhopal.
The Members of the IB thoroughly discussed various matters relating to the Institute and took decisions for betterment of patient care services. The members expressed satisfaction on the progress made by the Institute during last year.
The IB approved the recommendations made by the Selection Committee in respect of appointments to various posts viz Deputy Medical Superintendent, Senior Dietician, Accounts Officer, Law Officer, Chief Medical Record Officer, FMT faculty, Sr Analyst, Executive Engineer (Civil), Finance and Chief Accounts Officer. These appointments shall go a long way in effective operations in AIIMs Bhopal and aid betterment of patient care and amenities to general public.
After conclusion of the IB Meeting, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions held under Swachhata Pakhwada. As environmental friendly gesture in the Institute, the Members of IB planted saplings in the AIIMS premises. On this occasion Shramdeep Sinha, (IRS) Dy Director (Administration), Dr Arneet Arora, Dean (Academics), Dr Manisha Shrivastava, Medical Superintendent, Jitendra Saxena, Superintending Engineer, Benny Abhraham, Registrar, Gaurav Dwivedi, Senior Administrative Officer, Soumya Anie Tripathi, PPS to Director, Nagendra Saraswat, Exe. Engineer, Vishal Kumar Gupta, Administrative Officer and other senior faculty members and officers, para-medical staff and large number of employees were present.
