Witnessing a large number of school dropouts and increase in fail percentage, the All India Parents Association (AIPA) has launched a helpline number — ‘Mission School Admission 2019 Helpline numbers’ to provide free legal help and advice to the students denied admissions, re-admissions, and to assist the students with other related problems in Delhi schools including both government and private schools.
The Mission School Admission 2019 helpline numbers are 9662778086 and 9868529459.
According to data shared by the Directorate of Education (DoE) to a Right to Information (RTI) query filed by Advocate Aggarwal, a total of 66 percentage (102854 out of 155436) failed students of class IX to XII have been denied re-admission in the academic year 2018-19.
“In the academic year 2017-18, a total number of 73561 students of class IX were failed and out of the total, only 52 percent (38027) students were denied re-admission in the academic year 2018-19. Further, a total of 166513 out of 28806 failed students of class XI have been denied admissions in the next academic year”, the data shows.
As per the data, a total of 42503 students of class X were failed in 2017-18.
Out of the total students failed, total numbers of 38691 students (91%) have been denied re-admission in the year 2018-19.
“It was need of the hour for the students studying schools especially the senior class students.
This will largely help the students studying in the both Government and private schools as most of the time we, students do not know where to go and how to forward the complaint.
Thus, such initiative is a major boost as well as learning for the student community,” said Kartik, a student of Class XI, Sarvodaya Vidyalya, a Delhi Government run school.
