In the 63rd National Shooting Championship Competition played at Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy, from December 7 to January 4, 10-metre mix event, 10-metre air rifle men's and para-category finals were played.
In the final matches played today, the team of Aishwarya Pratap Singh, Akash Patidar and Amit Kumayu of the Academy won a bronze medal for Madhya Pradesh in the 50m rifle prone position. The gold medal of the competition was given to the team from Uttar Pradesh and the silver medal to the team from Punjab.
It is worth mentioning here that Aishwarya Pratap Singh, the rising player of the academy who won the Olympic quota to India, did a great performance in the final played for the second consecutive day and won the third medal of the competition. Aishwarya earned two silver medals yesterday. Today, the team has earned its event bronze medal number three.
In the final of Senior Mixed Event played today, the team of Uttar Pradesh's Ayushi Gupta and Vikrant Sharma earned the gold medal, the pair of Army's Harshita Dahiya and Pankaj Kumar got silver and the pair of Mehuli Ghosh and Srinjoy of West Bengal got the bronze medal.
In the mixed event events of the junior category played, the pair of Maharashtra's Jahnavi Khanwilkar and Rudraksh Bala Saheb Patil won the gold medal. The pair of Mehuli Ghosh and Srinjoy Dutta from West Bengal won the silver and the bronze from Manni Kaushik and Divyansh Singh Panwar from Rajasthan earned bronze.
Haryana's Rashmita and Siddharth Gaur won the gold medal in the 10m Youth Mixed event played.
The pair of Jeena Khitta and Surya Pratap Singh Banastu of Himachal Pradesh won the silver medal and the pair of Jahnavi Jitendra Khanwilkar and Rudraksha Bala Saheb Patil of Maharashtra earned bronze.
The team of Railways Akhil Shiron, Swapnil Suresh and Shubhankar won the gold medal with 1848.1 points.
