Amity University Jharkhand (AUJ) inaugurated its newly build Research Centre in its campus 2 near Big Bazaar, MG Marg on Tuesday. The Event was organized in the seminar hall where the members of Research Centre committee and faculties took part.
The inaugural session started with the lighting of knowledge lamp by the dignitaries including the guest of honour, retired Principal Scientist, Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, Swapan kumar Laha, followed by a welcome speech by Raman Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor of AUJ.
Guest of Honor, Swapan Kumar Laha said, “In order to sustain and make history one should not opt for the shortcut ways, work hard and collect appropriate data to make it in volume and take the name of university to a new height.”
Also in his speech, Jha took immense pleasure to address the newly owned Research centre in the university premises and encouraged all the members of Research Committee and teachers’ staff to publish good number of research articles and journals in order to serve researchers and students of AUJ. “Research Committee needs to set an example with their meticulous research work which is long lasting and impactful,” urged Jha.
Since its establishment in the year 2016 Amity University Jharkhand lacked the Resarch Centre. After the much awaited opening of the research hub the students and teaching staffs were quite contented and motivated.
Student of BJMC, second year, Anjali Gope said, “I am extremely happy to be a part of this amazing university. Each single day I get opportunity to showcase my skills and now then the opening of the Research centre in university will give all students the eventualities to do something great.”
Meanwhile, AUJ Research Coordinator, Jayeeta Chattopadhyay addressed the Research committee about certain facilities. Chattopadhyay mentioned that the faculty members can access maximum number of full research papers from their ‘Amizone –Id’ and password from Library section and also discussed about the ‘Turn it in’ plagiarism software that is available at AUJ, the id and password of which is kept with three program coordinators and the teachers can get it from the help desk at any time.
