On the occasion of 59 Birth Anniversary of famous painting artist and Former Asst Curator of IGRMS, Late Anand Tahenguria, Indira Gandhi Rashitrya Manav Sangrahalya, Bhopal is organising a special painting exhibitions of rare paintings of Late Tahenguria. This exhibition will begin on Monday at Rock Art Heritage Exhibition hall.
About this exhibition, Shikha Tahenguria told that late Anand Tahenguria was born on August 19, 1960 at Khairagarh (CG). Anand studied MFA from the prestigious Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidhyalaya, Khairagarh (C.G.). He has to his credit, 6 solo shows and 20 groups shows in various art galleries of the country. He received four national awards for his paintings. Anand participated in several all India exhibitions in major cities of the country and received special honour by Kerala Lailt Academy for his achievements. He was a member of the advisory committee at Lalit Kala Academy, Delhi. He was worked as Asst Curator in Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya and was closely associated with folk and tribal artists of the country.
He trained them to promote their art forms, motivated and highlighted their art artistic talent. He never published but wrote several poems. Late Anand Tahenguria passed away on December 23, 2017. On this occasion, the art lovers will discuss about their personality and contribution them.
Besides, Director of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Prof Sarit Kumar Chaudhuri will hoist the national flag on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day at the premises of Manav Sangrahalaya. On the occasion, Sweets will distribute at the end of the programme.
