With Lok Sabha slated to be held in the first half of the 2019, the Chief Election Office on Monday asked the citizens of Delhi to register and apply for the Voter Identity cards through which they can vote for the upcoming elections. Also, the people whose Voter ID card are damaged or want to do some correction can apply.
“Citizens can apply for not only addition of name but they can inform but also apply for modification and correction of the entries in the roll. This is for information of the General Public that Identity card does not entitle the voter to cast his/her vote during name of the voter has to be present in the electoral roll,” said an official.
