Members of the Odisha Medical Employees’ Association held a meeting with Brahmapur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu and MLA Bikram Panda here on Sunday.
In the meeting, the members presented their demands before the public representatives which included providing the hiked salary to the outsourcing employees of the MKCG Medical College Hospital, jobs to the heirs of deceased employees, pension to the retired employees, reappointment of the employees who were retrenched in 2001, forming new cadre for Group-D employees and opening service book of permanent employees. Sahu and Panda assured that they would put the demands before Health Department officials in a meeting to be held on September 12 in Bhubaneswar.
Among others, MKCH Medical College Dean and Principal Prof Radha Madhab Tripathy, MKCH Medical College Hospital Superintendent Prof Charan Panda, Administrative Officer Sachida Nanda Nayak, association advisor Rabi Rath, VP Sukant Mukhi, secretary Lalumohan Behera, joint secretary Ajit Patra, Rabi Naranya Behera, Keshav Behera, Chandru Patra, S Niranjan and Rahu Chinna were present.
