Badals & Capt should focus on peoples' issues instead of engaging in Twitter war

Friday, 19 April 2019 | PNS | Chandigarh

AAP Punjab unit president and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann on Thursday said that the instead of indulging in mutual war of words on Twitter advising each other to learn lessons from history over the Jallianwala Bagh carnage and the man behind this human tragedy, both Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal should “learn themselves”.

“Both Badal clan and the Captain needed to learn lessons instead of accusing and advising each other. They should, instead of frittering away their quality time on non-serious issues like these, focus on the issues and concern as were important to the people of the state,” he said.

Mann said that the State had suffered hugely during 10-year BJP-SAD regime and five-year (previous) and two-year current stint of the Captain-led government. “Both have been changing hands in power and supporting each other for their petty personal and political ends whenever they come to power,” he said.

Terming them as ‘gaddar-gaddar mausere bhai’ (both traitors are cousins), Mann blasted both the traditional parties for shoving the State into a total mess due to their anti-people stance.

“Both should tender an apology for lying to the teeming millions of people of the state, including distressed farmers, the youth, ‘dalits’, the poor, employees,  pensioners and others on their issues and concerns,” he said.
