Baghel sheds ‘Chhota Aadmi’ prefix after Modi, Raman remove ‘Chowkidar’

Saturday, 25 May 2019 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday removed ‘Chhota Aadmi’ prefix from his Twitter handle after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and state’s former chief minister Raman Singh dropped their ‘chowkidar’ prefixes.

Baghel started using the prefix “Chhota Aadmi” after Raman called him by that name before media persons close on the heels of BJP leaders using Chowkidar prefix.

The BJP’s leaders did so to counter Congress’s “Chowkidar chor hai’ campaign against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Though the Prime Minister in his tweet said the word “Chowkidar” remains an integral part of him but now the time has come to take the spirit to the next level.

He further assured the countrymen that he will keep this spirit alive every moment and continue to work for India’s progress.

Following Modi’s move, several BJP leaders of the state, including Raman, removed the prefix.

The Congress leaders in the state too removed the  prefix ‘Chhota Aadmi’ soon after CM did so.
