Bargarh PHD road in tatters

Wednesday, 21 August 2019 | PNS | BARGARH

The road from Bargarh town to Sahajbahal village under Bargaon panchayat is in a very poor condition. It is full of craters and potholes.

In the year 2016, the PHD Department, Bargarh had constructed the road at a cost of Rs 4.46 crore. But now the road is in complete tatters.

It has been badly affected in rains, with water puddles dotting on it everywhere.

While over a thousand of people use the road daily, they have alleged poor road works.

Accidents are common in the road. The villages dependent on the road are Katapali, Kamgaon, Patikarpalli, Zada, Kharmund, Antapali and Karlazuri, etc.

According to sources, some corrupt officers of the PHD department have earned huge amount of illegal money in the construction of the road.

The local people have demanded a probe by the Vigilance in the matter and action against the officials involved in corruption.
