Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal today asked Deputy Commissioners of all the districts to ensure that the information of all the schemes of the government reaches every person. Holding video conferencing with the DCs here on Saturday Barnwal said asked the DCs to make people aware of public-related governmental decisions. For this, all the resources of publicity should be widely used.

The Principal Secretary said that priority of the government is to give benefits of various schemes to every people of the State and to achieve this, interaction between officials and people should be done, so there shall be no communication gap.

Barnwal instructed the DCs to use all platforms of social media along with fair-exposures, awareness campaigns, street plays, banners, boards etc for broader and effective publicity. Information related to government projects and work should reach to every corner of villages. He also said that rumour among people is being spread on some issues. DC should inform them about the facts.

He said that the modern techniques of social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube should be used to give more information to people. With this, bulk SMS, Voice message, Whatsapp should also be used. Press Conferences etc should be broadcast live on Facebook and other platforms. This will not only facilitate the delivery of information of the plans to the households, but also help in executing problem areas.

Barnwal said that in the promotion of schemes of government, with the persons appointed in all government departments, Sakhi mandals, Panchayat volunteers, Krishak Mitra, Mashya Mitra, Tribal development committee members, Village development committee members etc should be used. He also added that the regional language should be used for giving information about government schemes to the people.

During the review, several suggestions came from DC of all districts, the Principle Secretary instructed to implement them accordingly.
