Be a strong CM: Digvijay’s brother taunts Kamal Nath

Wednesday, 13 November 2019 | PNS | Bhopal

Leaving no stone unturned to corner his party’s Government in Madhya Pradesh Congress MLA Laxman Singh, brother of senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Tuesday again made his rebellious tone public by advising Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath to be strong instead of being a weak CM.

Apparently side-lined in his own party, Singh has been speaking against Congress for a while and recently had even staged dharna at the residence of his brother Digvijay Singh, seeking conversion of Chachoda tehsil into a district.

While talking to media persons in Chachoda, his constituency, Laxman Singh offered a piece of advice to the Diggy’s bro asks Nath to be strong than weak Chief Minister Kamal Nath, asking him to focus on running the government and not saving it.

With scrambled majority, the fate of the Congress government which came to power in December last year had remained dicey with allies constantly pressurising the government on issues in last ten months.

The outspoken MLA went on to claim that nothing concrete is visible on the ground in Madhya Pradesh in last ten months. In an apparent taunt hurled at his own government, Singh claimed that we all wish that the present government runs for the whole five years but he wasn’t sure if this would actually happen.

He seemed annoyed with the Guna district administration as he is not invited in the meetings. “I rake up issue of backwardness so I am not invited in district planning committee meetings,” he alleged, adding that instead the administration invites someone else in his place.
