A rogue auto-rickshaw driver faced the music when he allegedly misbehaved with a college girl near Banta Square here on Friday afternoon.
Reports said the girl was travelling by an auto-rickshaw from Charampa to Banta Square. As the rear seat of the three-wheeler was fully occupied, the driver asked the girl to sit in the front seat adjacent to him.
Taking advantage of the situation, the driver allegedly misbehaved with the woman by touching her inappropriately. Protesting it, the victim alighted from the auto and thrashed the driver with her slip-ons. The locals present at the spot also beat the driver mercilessly.
Some locals, who were present at the spot, also filmed the video and uploaded the same on social media. No police complaint was lodged till filing of the report, sources added.
