Under the banner of ‘Heal-A-Soul-3’ CSR Project, the public sector major Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited(BHEL), in association with the Hemophilia Society, Bhopal organised an event  in Hamidiya Hospital, to distribute free medical kits containing Anti-Hemophilic Factors (AHFs) worth about Rs 10 lakh to 18 children of poor families suffering from Hemophilia on Saturday.

On this occasion Chief Guest Sarvesh Chaturvedi, Executive Director (TBG), BHEL, Noida distributed the medical kits (AHF) to the beneficiaries and expressed solidarity with the Hemophilic children and their cause.

In his key note address he briefed about BHEL and its CSR activities especially Heal-A-Soul Project.He also stressed on complete care for hemophilics and applauded the selfless work being done by NGO Hemophilia Society.

The event was graced with presence of dignitaries like Dr OP Singh, Dean, Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal and Rakesh Munsi Jt Director (Health), Govt of MP.

Hemophilia, is a genetically transmitted, life long, bleeding disorder which can lead to disability & even death for the affected person especially children if left untreated.

BHEL and Hemophilia Federation (India) is jointly undertaking the Pan India CSR project called ‘Heal A Soul 3’ to provide free of cost AHFs to 100 poor hemophilic children. BHEL has committed to spend Rs 59.55 lakhs in this year for this noble cause.

Earlier, BHEL had extended the financial support of Rs 4.05 crores to the Hemophilia Federation for AHFs, assistance for CD and PND.

BHEL has also provided physiotherapy equipments in various Hemophilia
