Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said in present scenario when people are increasingly becoming self-centred, Bhilai city is promoting bond of togetherness.
It is a proud moment for the state, he said.
The CM was speaking at an event after flagging off the first dispatch of bridge structure for the highest railway bridge in the world, to be constructed on Chinab river at Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.
He was addressing the gathering at village Birebhat, after flagging of the first dispatch of bridge structure from Atmastco Company premises. Konkan Railway Corporation is constructing the bridge number 43 at Katra.
Baghel said Bhilai Steel Plant is a gift of former Prime Minister Pt Jawaharlal Nehru to the state. After the establishment of the steel plant, Bhilai has progressed in all sectors.
Here people from all religions and castes resides harmoniously reflecting secularism and brotherhood. It has made its mark in education and sports also.
He said the state has abundant natural resources including human resources and those wanting to contribute for industrial development and investment in the state, all assistance will be provided. Baghel also planted a sapling.
