Crime branch Bhopal nabbed two Uttar Pradesh-based persons involved in operating inter-state racket of fraud in the name of availing health services from hospitals; accused used to pose as senior officials of BSNL and commit the fraud.

The crime branch nabbed two miscreants identified as Ramesh Prajapati(45) and Salim(40) who were nabbed acting on a tip off. The two were nabbed after a complaint was lodged by Altaf Masud of Max Care hospital regarding fraud of Rs  2 lakh.

In his complaint victim stated that the he received call from the accused posing as GM BSNL AK Pandey who offered to avail health care services for children of BSNL employees and asked to submit documents and later told to provide Rs  2 lakh to facilitate the process and after collecting money mobile number went switched off.

Police registered a case under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120 of the IPC and started further investigation. The nabbed accused used to target hospitals by visiting the city and would contact the hospital and would contact posing as GM BSNL and lure the victims of availing health care services.

The accused have crime record and have been booked in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The accused used to produce fake visiting cards of BSNL and would use the same to cheat the victims.

Meanwhile, Bajaria police have nabbed Zubeer Maulana's aide from MPEB ground who was wanted in a case of robbery in  Eitkhedi, police recovered country made pistol and live cartridge, he was booked for more than a dozen cases.

The nabbed accused identified as Salman alias Kala  and recovered fire arms from his possession.  Salman has about a dozen cases registered for murder, fight, robbery, dacoity in various police stations of the city, which he committed along with Zuber Maulana.
