A Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) executive lost his high-salaried job for attempting to film a woman colleague nude by installing his cell phone camera in the women’s wash room of the office.
The woman to whom, he was reportedly targeting, however, had noticed the camera and had lodged a complaint with the authority, following which the disciplinary action was initiated against the executive. He was immediately dismissed here on Saturday.
The accused is Debabrata Sarangi, who was working as a Deputy Manager in Computer and Information Technology (CIT) department of RSP.
During first week of February, Sarangi allegedly had put his mobile with video on, in the women wash room in ERP centre to film nude picture of an unmarried girl employee when the latter went to the wash room.
However, the girl could spot the mobile phone and brought to thenotice of higher authorities of CIT department.
The authorities seized the mobile phone from the women wash room and came to know that the mobile belongs to Deputy Manager Sarangi.
Another woman employee in ERP centre also brought similar allegation against Sarangi and both had lodged complaint against Sarangi before higher authorities.
According to sources, Sarangi is a married person.
