The Bharatiya Janata Party said that mega development projects stalled during Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party regimes were being implemented by the Yogi Adityanath government.
Welcoming the completion of tender process for Jewar international airport, BJP spokesman Chandramohan said on Saturday that the BJP government was working for realising the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for rapid development of Uttar Pradesh.
“The Jewar airport, with an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore, would not only herald a new era of development in the state but also create jobs for over one lakh people,” he said.
The BJP leader said that besides Jewar airport in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the state government had also put the international airports at Kushinagar and Ayodhya on the fast track.
He said that the state government had already sanctioned Rs 60 crore for Ayodhya airport project and work on modernisation, expansion and renovation of Gorakhpur airport was underway.
Chandramohan also said that work was in progress at Chitrakoot airport and commercial flights would soon operate from there.
He said that rapid development and expansion of airports in different parts of the state would strengthen connectivity and go a long way in attracting investments and contribute to enhancing the profile of UP.
