BJP party workers headed by BJP district president Surendranath Singh staged protest rally from Roshanpura to Governor House and handed over a memorandum demanding action against BJP party worker near DMART on Saturday.
The clash which started as an act of compromise between Leader of Opposition in the BMC Mohammad Sagheer and fish contractor and BJP party worker Subash Raikwar took violent shape after Sagheer was attacked at Kaliasot Dam and settling scores Subhash was attacked near DMart.
On Sunday BJP party workers protested and rallied in which scuffle with the policemen was witnessed.
Jehagirabad police have arrested two persons and booked six persons in clash between Leader of Opposition in the BMC and a fish contractor on Saturday.
The accused who were arrested are identified as Jugnu and Akbar and attacked fish contractor Subhash Raikwar.
In the afternoon on Saturday Sagheer was stone pelted by Subhash’s supporters after he went to Kaliasot dam and in the evening Subhash was attacked and brutally beaten by three miscreants who are supposed to be supporters of Sagheer.
During the investigation Jehangirabad police have booked six persons and arrested two of them on Sunday.
Police said that around half a dozen persons including Jugnu and Akbar and five others in which a person who introduced himself as a journalist have been booked for attempt to murder, rioting in which Jugnu and Akbar have been arrested by Jehangirabad police while search to nab absconding accused is intensified.
Earlier on Saturday more than two dozen men allegedly attacked Sagheer when he has gone to intervene is some issue related to a fishing contract at Kaliasot dam.
The fishing contractor is owned by Subhash.
