nState BJP leaders and party workers congratulated former union minister of state Ramesh Bais on being appointed as Governor of Tripura on Saturday.
They termed the appointment as a proud moment for Chhattisgarh.
President Ramnath Kovid issued the order on Saturday.
The BJP leaders said Tripura would benefit from his political and administrative experiences.
Ramesh Bais, a seven-time Member of Parliament from Raipur was union minister of state in Atal Behari Vajpayee’s government. He had played a key role in bringing AIIMS and other facilities in the state.
Chhattisgarh BJP state president Vikram Usendi, national vice president and former chief minister Dr Raman Singh, Union MoS Renuka Singh, BJP national general secretary and Rajya Sabha members Saroj Pandey and Ramvichar Netam, Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik, Members of Parliament and others extended greetings to Bais.
