BJP national general secretary and Chhattisgarh in-charge Dr Anil Jain said the economic slowdown in the country is due to impacts in global economy.
He said no country can be isolated from the global economic situation and added that the current slowdown is periodical and temporary.
The recent statement of US President Donald Trump over trade loss to China after it imposed restrictions, has impacted China to a large extend causing larger ripples in the world economy, said Jain.
When compared to other developing countries, India’s GDP growth rate is much higher even in present condition, then how can it be stated as crises, he added. Jain further said the manufacturing is increasing and after monsoon, there will be higher economic activity leading to further growth.
Chhattisgarh produce steel, which is sent to places based on their specific needs and requirements. So, in this context statement of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is childish. Delhi, when clubbed with Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru has more than double Uber and Ola cabs. As highest procurement of vehicles is in metros, it has been reduced due to increase in public transport facilities also. The other reason for slowdown in automobile sector is that people are now avoiding use of private vehicles due to lack of parking space.
