Friday, 12 July 2019 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Leader of the Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik said the issues which have cropped up in the intervening period between the last assembly   session and the present monsoon session of Chhattisgarh Assembly, will be raised by the BJP in the House.

The five-day Chhattisgarh State assembly monsoon session will begin from July 12.

Kaushik said BJP members will make all efforts to raise the issues such as increasing incidents of Naxalism, including the killing of party MLA Bhima Mandavi in Maoist attack.

He alleged all the  developmental works have come to a standstill due to increasing incidents ofviolence in Maoist-affected areas and no new works have been taken up in other areas too.

The BJP leader said across the state law and order  situation has crumbled as even in broad day light loot, murder, abduction are taking place. Custodial death has occurred. A common man cannot walk freely on the street, he claimed.

The farmers in the on going  kharif season are facing problem in getting loans through Kisan Credit Card, power supply is erratic, the employees are on the verge of agitation, the government is going ahead with sand mining without a policy while illegal mining is increasing, he added.

All these issues will be raised before the government to find a solution to them, Kaushik pointed out.

On his party's stand on proposed no-confidence motion by JCC (J) patron and Marwahi MLA Ajit Jogi, Kaushik said the proposal to back the move has been received, but a final decision will be taken in the BJP Legislative Members meet.
