Jharkhand Vikas Morcha supremo Babulal Marandi today said that the BJP will not be able to repeat the results of 2014 Lok Sabha elections this time in Jharkhand. He said that the number of ‘Mahagathbandhan’ seats will be more than that of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) this time.
Addressing media persons in a press conference the former Chief Minister said that he cannot claim the number of seats the Grand Alliance will win, but the JVM has contested on two seats and it will win both of them. He said that one has to wait till May 23 to get the results as the people of the nation have given their verdict.
Marandi said that Narendra Modi’s craze is in its lowest ebb. The BJP did not contest polls on issues, rather it polarised the people, frightened them. However, the issues raised by the Grand Alliance were clear and to the point, he added.
The JVM chief congratulated voters, election officers, polling parties and all police and security personnel for conducting peaceful polls in the State after the end of general elections 2019. He said that the voters have shown maturity in this election. “It is a sign of strengthening of democracy that the polling in the State has been peaceful. The BJP Government has misused the administration. Less voting has been conducted in minority areas. One sided action has been taken by the administration in Jugsalai,” he said.
