nA 14-year-old boy who was suffering from mental problem, as his father had died and his mother had left him and married someone else, allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree in Wazirabad area of North Delhi on Friday morning.
According to a senior police official, on Friday at about 7 am, a minor boy who was a resident of Jharonda Mazara committed suicide by hanging from a tree.
"During investigation, it was revealed that minor's parents went to Mumbai for job where his father had died when he was two years old. After father's death, his mother didn't return and married someone else," said the senior police official.
"The boy was staying with his grandparents in Delhi. His grandfather is a rickshawpuller. He was studying in a school but was suffering from mental problem following which he took this extreme step," a police official said.
