Endocrinologist Dr Sunil Kumar Kota of the Diabetes and Endocare Clinic has been bestowed with the prestigious SCOPE Scholarship to attend the SCOPE school at Mexico.
The scholarship has been granted on the basis of Dr Sunil Kota’s 10 publications on various aspects of obesity and its complications like diabetes, hypertension, heart and kidney disorders and thyroid disorders in various international and national journals.
He has additionally authored 2 chapters on obesity. His research work on a modified bariatric surgery for treatment of obesity, diabetes and hypertension has too been acclaimed earlier, including by American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE), Endocrine Society of India (ESI), and Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI).
The scholarship includes monetary assistance towards his international travel, registration for the event and accommodation.
Across the globe around 50 doctors would be gracing the event out of which 25 doctors have been the recipient of SCOPE school scholarship. Dr Kota is the only Indian doctor to be accorded with this prestigious scholarship.
He shall be presenting his research work in front of global audience. People from various quarters of society have congratulated Dr Kota for his achievement.
