A bride rejected her groom after he was found drunk in the marriage mandap and called off her wedding in Jujumura village in Sambalpur district on Sunday.
As per reports, the groom along with barats reached Jujumura and had food before heading towards the mandap. The groom, Surendra from Nakatideula village, was so drunk that he lost his balance while reaching the mandap.
The sight was so disturbing for bride Mamata that she refused to marry Surendra. All attempts from groom’s family side failed to convince her to change her decision, informed Ganda Welfare Society president Rasanada Nayak.
