Former minister and Raipur city South MLA Brijmohan Agrawal in a letter to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has sought Rs 43 crore for road widening work from Sharda Chowk to Tatyapara in capital city Raipur.

The letter points out that there is always traffic jam like situation from Sharda Chowk to Tatyapara due to narrow space. Brijmohan stated as it is the heart of the city there is heavy pressure of traffic. The people face harrowing experience while crossing the area as it is also central market area. To ease the traffic, the road needs to be widened.

He urged that Rs 43 crore for compensation payment to those who will be displaced and road construction should be sanctioned or included in the supplementary budget.
