With not even a month left for the Lok Sabha poll, the political parties are now engaged in galvanising the organisations and the activists. However, the activities of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) are the most visible presently.  BSP brass is learnt to have  asked its state party president to mobilise 20,000 party workers from each Vidhan Sabha constituency for the rally slated on April 6 to be addressed by the party supremo Mayawati. Notably, Mayawati would address two election rallies in Haridwar and Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district  on April 6. Besides, the list of the party’s    prospective candidates for four constituencies has already been sent to the high command. The BSP insiders said that the names of the contenders from Haridwar, Nainital and Almora Lok Sabha seats have nearly been finalised.

Speaking to The Pioneer, the state BSP in-charge Surajmal said, "We have already discussed regarding the contenders from Haridwar, Tehri, Almora and Nainital. While Antriksh Saini is fighting from Haridwar Sundarlal Dhoni is from Almora and Rajesh Dubey from Nainital. Very soon, the party high command will put its stamp approval on the proposed names"

Aside from the finalisation of the names of the contenders, the preparations for the Mayawati rally are also going in full swing, though the venue of the rally is yet to be finalised.  Election round the corner, the party is all set to celebrate the  birthday of the founder Kanshi Ram in a big way on March 15.
