C’garh Government's Diwali gift to employees

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who also holds the finance portfolio, has sanctioned the second installment of arrears of seventh pay commission.

The announcement came as a Diwali gift for state government employees.

The decision will benefit nearly 3.50 lakh government employees, causing an additional financial burden of Rs 550 crore on state exchequer.

Finance Department officials informed that state government employees are being provided benefits of seventh pay commission from January 1, 2016 till July 1, 2017. State Government has decided to provide arrears amount in six equal installments. First installment has been paid in August 2018 and the arrears will be paid before Diwali.
