Thursday, 12 September 2019 | PNS | RAIPUR

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided against Chhattisgarh hosting the Under-23 men’s one-day cricket matches between India and Bangladesh scheduled from September 19 to 27 due yto poor ground condition.

Earlier there were talks that matches of the series will be played at Shahid Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Parsada, Nava Raipur.

As per latest information, Utta Pradesh’s capital Lucknow was now preferred over Nava Raipur.

According to Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh (CSCS)’s adhoc body member G. S. Murthy, due to       continuous rains at Raipur, the cricket ground was not in a suitable condition to host international match.

The prevailing condition of the ground was intimated to the BCCI and accordingly the matches have been shifted to Lucknow.
