Campion school’s 52nd Annual Sports Day held

Campion School’s 52nd Annual Sports Day 2019 was held on Saturday in the school playground of school premises. Almost 1,500 students from KG1 to Std. Vth were participated in this event. Principal Fr Dr Athnas Lakra SJ, formally commenced the programme with

lighting of the lamp along with Chief Guest Mahesh Saxena Secretary & Director of Child welfare and Guest of Honour Col Girijesh Saxena Retd Indian Army Medical Corps and other dignitaries.

Chief Guest along with the other dignitaries received the salute during the parade and impressive March Past presented by the four houses students ie, Nehru House, Ashoka House, Tagore House and Gandhi House of the School followed by the oath ceremony. The sports torch-symbol of harmony and goodwill was carried by worthy sports persons.

The event was followed by the hoisting of the flag by our esteemed Guests. The chief guest received the torch and declared the sports meet open.

The inaugural programme commenced with the Prayer song and welcome Theme dance by the students. The students display a wide array of colourful and reverberant events such as PT Displayed, Lemon & Spoon race, Shuttle Relay, Bursting the Balloon, Skipping race, Yoga, March Past, Races, and Drills formation of pyramids etc by the students.

KG1 and KGII students spread the message of ‘Say No to Plastic’ and ‘Clean India’ through their PT and Display performances. Students also took part in 4X100m relay Overall Championship trophy is given to “Tagore House”. Winners were awarded with certificates and medals on the day of Annual Sports Meet. Referee of the meet Sonia Yadav, Asst Referee of the meet Khan and Imraan and Chief Judge Johnsy Koshy HOD Physical Education Department Campion school.
